What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Annex Brands' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if Annex Brands believes there are grounds for non-renewal of a franchise, they will provide the franchisee with written notice of their decision. This notice must be given at least 90 days prior to the 20-year anniversary of the franchise agreement's execution date.
The written notice from Annex Brands will specify the reasons for the non-renewal decision. If these reasons are not curable, or if the franchisee fails to correct any curable issues, the franchise term will expire on the 20-year anniversary of the agreement's execution date.
It is important for prospective franchisees to understand the conditions under which Annex Brands may choose not to renew a franchise agreement, as well as the timeframe for addressing any deficiencies identified by the franchisor. Franchisees should also be aware of their right to renew the franchise for an additional 20-year term, provided they meet certain conditions, including giving written notice of their intent to renew between 6 and 12 months prior to the agreement's 20-year anniversary.
