If Annex Brands establishes a 'Matching Funds Advertising Program', what may an Advertising Association do?
Annex_Brands Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Franchisor may, but is not required to, establish a "Matching Funds Advertising Program" (governed by rules set forth in the Manuals) whereby any Advertising Association to which Franchisee belongs (see Subsection 10.D of this Agreement) may apply to Franchisor for a portion of the funds allocated to the Matching Funds Advertising Program. In addition to any funds available from the Matching Funds Advertising Program, Franchisee is expected to use additional funds to conduct individual Center marketing/advertising.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Annex Brands' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if Annex Brands establishes a "Matching Funds Advertising Program", an Advertising Association to which a franchisee belongs may apply to Annex Brands for a portion of the funds allocated to the Matching Funds Advertising Program. The specific rules governing this program are detailed in Annex Brands' manuals.
Even with access to these matching funds, Annex Brands franchisees are expected to allocate additional funds to conduct individual center marketing and advertising efforts. This highlights the importance of local marketing initiatives, even when a broader, franchisor-supported program is in place.
For a franchisee, this means understanding the rules and guidelines of the Matching Funds Advertising Program, as detailed in the manuals, is crucial. They should also budget for ongoing, individual marketing efforts to supplement any potential matching funds received. Prospective franchisees should inquire about the specific criteria and processes for applying for and receiving these matching funds to fully understand the potential benefits and requirements.
