What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 FDD, Annex Brands franchisees must adhere to specific standards and procedures to maintain a consistent brand image. This includes adopting and maintaining Annex Brands' trade dress, which covers the image, appearance, layout, design, and decor of the center. Franchisees must also use approved notices, signs, displays, graphics, marketing and advertising materials, business forms, and print and digital communications.

The FDD states that franchisees must comply with standards relating to cleaning, repair, refurnishing, and remodeling, as well as the type, brand, appearance, and functioning of equipment, computer systems, products, fixtures, and furnishings. The appearance and demeanor of the center's personnel, including the wearing of name tags and logo apparel, are also specified by Annex Brands. Franchisees are required to use approved marketing methods or programs and digital or online communications, and they must properly use and protect the brand's trademarks and confidential information.

Annex Brands franchisees are also required to be members of the franchisor's Intranet network, which links franchisees with each other and the corporate office. If requested by Annex Brands, franchisees must display a sign and brochure holder with information about franchise opportunities in a prominent location within the center. These requirements ensure that all Annex Brands locations present a unified and professional image to the public, reinforcing brand recognition and customer trust.
