What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Annex Brands' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee and/or their designated personnel must complete the initial training program to the satisfaction of Annex Brands. This initial training is a combination of hands-on experience at Annex Brands' training center and classroom training at their offices in San Diego, California. The training typically lasts for 8 classroom days for standard, flex, or express centers, with a possible additional 6-hour day for flex centers.
Annex Brands may offer an online training program before the in-person session, potentially reducing the number of classroom days required. They may also provide additional pre-training or post-training sessions, such as teleconferences or online webcasts, which the franchisee must complete within a specified timeframe. The franchisee is responsible for any associated license and administrative fees, such as the current $330 fee for the online financial training portal.
The initial training covers various aspects of operating an Annex Brands center, including marketing, advertising, sales, general business instruction, and the financial aspects of each revenue center. Furthermore, if a franchisee plans to transfer their franchise to a new owner or manager, the transferee must also successfully complete the initial training program. If Annex Brands allows the transferee to attend training after the transfer, they must do so within 90 days of assuming operational responsibility. This ensures that all operators and managers are adequately trained to uphold Annex Brands' standards.
