What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Annex Brands's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must acquire and install all specified computer hardware, software programs, and licenses, and establish Internet access before or at the initial training. This is a prerequisite for preparing for the training. Annex Brands will provide assistance to help franchisees prepare, potentially including pre-training computer materials and a workbook.

The specific brands, types, and models of computer hardware, software, accessories, and merchant card processing systems must be approved by Annex Brands and purchased or leased from approved suppliers, which may include Annex Brands itself or its affiliates. The franchisee is responsible for providing any assistance needed to connect their computer systems with Annex Brands' systems, allowing Annex Brands to access data from the franchisee's systems as deemed necessary, with the retrieval costs covered by Annex Brands.

Franchisees must also maintain their computer systems, installing any additions, changes, or replacements as directed by Annex Brands. All computer systems used must be electronically networked as specified by Annex Brands. This ensures operational efficiency and communication between the franchisee's center and Annex Brands' systems. The franchisee is responsible for all costs associated with these requirements. If a franchisee wants to use equipment or suppliers not already approved, they must seek approval from Annex Brands, providing necessary specifications and information for evaluation.
