What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Annex Brands's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, attendance at the national convention is mandatory. Specifically, the franchisee and/or their designated personnel must attend the full program and stay at the designated hotel for each national convention. Annex Brands may hold a national convention approximately every 10 to 18 months.
Franchisees are responsible for covering the national convention registration fee per person and the hotel fee for one room during the convention. These fees are in addition to travel and incidental expenses for the franchisee and/or their personnel. The franchisee also pays weekly national convention participation deposits, which are applied to the national convention registration and hotel fees. If these deposits do not cover the full cost, Annex Brands has the right to debit the franchisee's bank account for the difference.
Failure to attend the full program or stay at the designated hotel results in forfeiture of any accrued national convention participation deposits to Annex Brands on the closing date of the convention. This policy underscores the importance Annex Brands places on franchisee participation in these events. Franchisees should factor in these mandatory attendance costs and potential penalties when evaluating the overall financial commitment of the franchise.
