We are the only approved supplier of the equipment package for your retail center. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Annex Brands's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Annex Brands is the only approved supplier of the equipment package for your retail center. The equipment package includes fixtures such as counters, slat walls, accessories for slat walls, carton walls, mailbox holders, cabinetry, trim, mailboxes, package lockers, and flooring for a standard, flex, or express retail center.
Item 8 of the FDD also states that franchisees must use a contractor and architect designated by Annex Brands for the build-out of their retail center. The designated contractor will coordinate with the architect to design and plan the premises, interact with local officials for building approvals, and complete the build-out, including equipment package installation. While a franchisee may request to use a substitute licensed contractor, it is not Annex Brands's regular practice to approve them, and using a substitute contractor requires paying a $2,500 construction consultation fee. Franchisees are not permitted to use a substitute architect.
While Annex Brands is the only approved supplier for the equipment package, franchisees can request approval of additional suppliers for other items, such as logo attire. Annex Brands will grant or deny approval within 30 days based on the vendor's prices, quality of goods, and ability to meet their standards and specifications. This suggests that while Annex Brands mandates the equipment package supplier, there is a mechanism to potentially influence the supply chain for other goods.
