What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Annex Brands's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees do not receive an exclusive territory and may face competition from various sources. The FDD states, "You will not receive an exclusive territory. You may face competition from other franchisees, from outlets that we own, or from other channels of distribution or competitive brands that we control." This means that while Annex Brands provides a protected area, it does not guarantee exclusivity.
Annex Brands franchisees could face competition from other franchisees, company-owned outlets, other distribution channels, or competitive brands controlled by Annex Brands. The protected area is determined by factors such as location, population, proximity to similar businesses, the number of other businesses providing similar services, area demographics, growth potential, and market trends. For standard and flex retail centers, the protected area is generally a geographic area within a ½-mile radius. For express retail centers, the protected area is limited to the facility in which the retail center is located.
Annex Brands also has a history of acquiring other franchise systems, such as Pak Mail, EAGLE, AFC, Navis Logistics Management, The Packaging Store, and Sunshine Pack & Ship. Franchisees from these acquired systems may continue to operate in their existing territories, potentially overlapping with an Annex Brands franchisee's protected area. All retail centers and Commercial Logistics Centers, subject to any restrictions in their own franchise agreements, may solicit and service clients and otherwise advertise and offer their respective products and services to any individuals or entities regardless of those individuals' or entities' geographic locations, including any locations within your protected area.
