According to the 2025 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Franchise Disclosure Document, Sherman Leung is the Start-Up Operations Manager who runs the training program. He has been with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? since June 2022. Prior to joining 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, Leung had 15 years of experience in the training field. Michael Lord, the Vice President of Operations, oversees the training program and has been with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? since 2016, bringing over nine years of relevant experience in the training field.
Initial training for 1-800-GOT-JUNK? covers all aspects of the business operating system, including both classroom and on-the-job training. The training takes place at 1-800-GOT-JUNK?'s principal offices in Vancouver, British Columbia, or another location to be determined, and lasts for five business days. Each day of training runs from approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
In addition to the initial training, a Field Operations Manager will support the franchisee during the opening days of their business. Within 180 days of the business launch, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? will conduct a field visit to revisit training at the franchisee's operation. This ongoing support and training is designed to help franchisees successfully launch and operate their 1-800-GOT-JUNK? business.
