What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program is conducted as often as needed rather than on a fixed schedule. This program covers all aspects of the business operating system and includes both in-class and in-field training.

The initial training program includes subjects such as 'Welcome to the Junktion', 'Intro to Franchise Support', 'Exceptional Marketing', 'Recruitment', 'Daily Operations', 'People and Culture', 'Business Planning Session', 'NASA', 'Fleet', 'Axonify' and 'Sales Engagement Training'. The training takes place at 1-800-GOT-JUNK?'s principal offices in Vancouver, British Columbia, or another location to be determined, over five business days, from approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day.

Before commencing operations, franchisees are required to shadow an existing franchise, spending time in all roles, including Truck Team Member, Field Operations Manager, and Franchise Partner. This in-field training typically lasts five business days and may occur in the Nashville area (East), Las Vegas (West), or another location to be determined. The Principal Operator must attend initial training, and 1-800-GOT-JUNK? may require other directors, officers, or shareholders to attend as well.

Initial training must be successfully completed at least two weeks before the commencement of the Franchised Business’s operations. While there is currently no charge for the Principal Operator and other required attendees to attend initial training, franchisees are responsible for all travel and living expenses. Continental breakfasts, lunches, and one dinner are provided on training days.
