Note 1. All training takes place at 1-800-GOT-JUNK?’s principal offices in Vancouver, British Columbia (or another location to be determined) over the course of 5 business days. Each day of training will begin at approximately 8:00 AM and will end at 5:00 PM.
Note 2. Our Field Operations Manager assigned to you will be in your business to support you during the opening days of your franchise. Within 180 days of your business launch, we will do a field visit to revisit training in the field at your operation.
Note 3. Sherman Leung, our Start-Up Operations Manager, runs our training program. He has been with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? since June 2022, and has 15 years of relevant experience in the field related to training.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program takes place over the course of 5 business days. Each day of training will begin around 8:00 AM and conclude around 5:00 PM. The training covers all aspects of the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? business operating system, including both classroom and on-the-job training.
The 1-800-GOT-JUNK? initial training program is conducted as often as needed, rather than on a fixed schedule. The training program is run by Sherman Leung, the Start-Up Operations Manager, who has been with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? since June 2022 and has 15 years of relevant experience. Michael Lord, the Vice President of Operations, oversees the training program and has been with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? since 2016, bringing over nine years of relevant experience.
Before commencing operations, franchisees are also required to participate in in-field training by shadowing an existing franchise. This in-field training generally takes 5 business days and involves shadowing all roles within the franchise, such as Truck Team Member, Field Operations Manager, and Franchise Partner. This in-field training may occur in the Nashville area (East), Las Vegas (West), or another location to be determined by 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. Initial training must be successfully completed at least 2 weeks before the commencement of the Franchised Business’s operations.
The 1-800-GOT-JUNK? FDD outlines various subjects covered during the initial training, including Welcome to the Junktion, Intro to Franchise Support, Exceptional Marketing, Recruitment, Daily Operations, People and Culture, Business Planning Session, NASA, Fleet, Axonify, and Sales Engagement Training. Additional subjects include Finance & QuickBooks, Sales Center, Intro to PIPEline Session 1 - Theory, Brand Excellence, Customer Experience, Local Commercial, Into to PIPEline Session 2 – Application/Hands-On, Daily Operations - On Site, and Truck Day - On Site.
