Under what conditions can Zoomin Groomin permit a franchisee to purchase a used vehicle?
Zoomin_Groomin Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
The low-end is based on leasing a Vehicle at MSRP with the features we require and choosing the most economical upfitting package that is approved by us. The high-end is based on purchasing a new Vehicle for full MSRP with the features we require and the highest priced upfitting package we have approved. We may also permit you to purchase a used low-mileage vehicle in good condition, which approval will not be unreasonably withheld. The price you pay may depend on market conditions. Further, taxes and delivery fees are not included with this total and will vary depending on your location. We make no guarantee regarding the availability of a suitable vehicle, financing, nor do we finance any portion of the vehicle expense.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Zoomin Groomin's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are typically expected to purchase or lease a new vehicle that meets the brand's specifications for operating their mobile pet grooming business. However, Zoomin Groomin may permit a franchisee to purchase a used, low-mileage vehicle in good condition. This approval from Zoomin Groomin will not be unreasonably withheld. The price a franchisee pays for a vehicle, whether new or used, may depend on market conditions.
This flexibility offers a potential cost-saving opportunity for franchisees who can find a suitable used vehicle. However, it's important to note that the FDD makes no guarantees regarding the availability of a suitable vehicle or financing. The franchisee is responsible for securing their own financing for the vehicle expense.
Prospective franchisees should inquire with Zoomin Groomin about the specific criteria for used vehicle approval, including mileage limits, condition standards, and any inspection processes. Understanding these requirements will help franchisees make informed decisions about vehicle acquisition and manage their initial investment effectively. Taxes and delivery fees are not included in the estimated vehicle costs and will vary depending on the franchisee's location.
