What This Means (2025 FDD)
The 2025 Zoomin Groomin Franchise Disclosure Document does not contain information about the conditions under which a franchisee can terminate the franchise agreement. The document does state conditions under which Zoomin Groomin can terminate the agreement, such as if the franchisee violates any terms of the agreement and fails to correct the issue within 30 days of notice, or if any amount owed to Zoomin Groomin is more than 30 days past due.
However, the FDD excerpts do outline obligations the franchisee has upon termination or expiration of the agreement. These include ceasing use of the Listings (telephone numbers, internet listings, etc.) and transferring them to Zoomin Groomin. The franchisee is also responsible for paying any outstanding amounts related to the Listings and cooperating with Zoomin Groomin in the removal or relisting of the Listings.
To fully understand under what conditions a Zoomin Groomin franchisee can terminate the franchise agreement, a prospective franchisee should ask the franchisor directly about the specific termination rights afforded to the franchisee, including any conditions, procedures, or penalties associated with early termination.
