Zoomin_Groomin Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
The Territory will be for a specific geographic region that we define by zip codes, natural, or political boundaries as set forth on Schedule 1 to the Franchise Agreement. A territory will have a minimum population of approximately 125,000 residents, as determined by the U.S. Census Bureau or mapping software that we feel is reliable. You must operate at least one (1) Vehicle in your Territory, but you may operate more if you desire to do so.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Zoomin Groomin's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor determines the population of a territory using the U.S. Census Bureau or mapping software that Zoomin Groomin deems reliable. The FDD specifies that each territory will have a minimum population of approximately 125,000 residents. This population figure is a key factor in defining the geographic area assigned to a franchisee.
For a prospective Zoomin Groomin franchisee, this means the territory assigned will be based on population data from either the U.S. Census Bureau or a mapping software source that Zoomin Groomin trusts. The minimum population threshold of 125,000 residents ensures a certain level of potential customer base within the territory. This is important for assessing the potential market and revenue opportunities in the assigned area.
It is important to note that Zoomin Groomin reserves the right to choose the mapping software it considers reliable. While the FDD mentions the U.S. Census Bureau as a source, the franchisor has the discretion to use alternative mapping software. A prospective franchisee may want to inquire about the specific mapping software used by Zoomin Groomin to understand the data and methodology behind the population figures provided for their territory. Understanding the data source can help a franchisee evaluate the accuracy and relevance of the population data for their business planning.
