What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Zoomin Groomin FDD, in exchange for franchise fees, Zoomin Groomin grants the franchisee the right to use the company name, trademark, and system in the franchisee's franchise development business. This allows the franchisee to operate a Zoomin Groomin Franchised Business using their system and marks to deliver mobile pet grooming services and related products within a defined territory. However, the franchisee will not receive an exclusive territory. They may face competition from other franchisees, company-owned outlets, or other channels of distribution or competitive brands that Zoomin Groomin controls. Despite this, the franchisee will receive a protected territory, within which Zoomin Groomin promises not to establish a company-owned or franchised outlet.

Zoomin Groomin also directs inquiries for mobile pet grooming from within the franchisee's territory to their Franchised Business. The franchisee must offer, sell, and perform only the products and services that Zoomin Groomin has authorized, which may change over time to adjust for competitive changes, technological advancements, legal requirements, or continuous improvement. Zoomin Groomin will provide reasonable notice before requiring franchisees to offer new products and services.

Furthermore, Zoomin Groomin provides initial training to the franchisee and any general manager, which must be successfully completed before the franchisee can operate the Franchised Business. While Zoomin Groomin does not charge for this initial training, the franchisee is responsible for covering their own travel and living expenses to attend. Zoomin Groomin may also require franchisees to attend advanced or refresher training, either electronically or in person.
