What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Zoomin Groomin's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to maintain Comprehensive General Liability Insurance. The minimum coverage amount is $1,000,000 per occurrence. However, the FDD notes that this amount may be higher if required by state law.
In addition to Comprehensive General Liability Insurance, Zoomin Groomin franchisees must also carry Commercial Automobile Liability Insurance with a minimum coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence, potentially more if state law mandates. Worker's Compensation insurance is also required, with a minimum of $100,000 per employee, and again, this could be higher depending on state regulations.
Zoomin Groomin also recommends that franchisees purchase business interruption insurance. Furthermore, all insurance policies must name Zoomin Groomin as an "additional insured" party. Franchisees are responsible for obtaining and maintaining the required insurance coverage at their own expense, as specified in the Operations Manual and as required by state laws. The cost of insurance can vary by state and may change over time based on the franchisee's risk management skills.
