What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Zoomin Groomin's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the payment of the initial franchise fee for a franchise in Illinois is deferred. This means that franchisees are not required to pay the initial franchise fee until certain conditions are met.

Specifically, the initial franchise fee is deferred until Zoomin Groomin has fulfilled all of its pre-opening obligations to the franchisee. Additionally, the franchisee must have commenced doing business before the initial franchise fee is due.

The Illinois Attorney General's Office imposed this deferral requirement due to Zoomin Groomin's financial condition. This deferral provides a level of financial protection for new franchisees in Illinois, ensuring that Zoomin Groomin fulfills its obligations before the franchisee is required to pay the initial fee.
