Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Site Selection. We do not require that you have an office. We do not provide site selection assistance. However, if you establish an office, then you are required to obtain our written approval before you sign a lease for that location. We will typically approve or disapprove a proposed site within 14 days of your submission to us of the information required by us on the proposed site. Any proposed site within your Territory will be deemed approved if we do not approve or disapprove within 30 days. (Franchise Agreement, Section 3.2).

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Zoomin Groomin's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, while an office is not required, if a franchisee chooses to establish one, they must obtain written approval from Zoomin Groomin before signing a lease for the location. This requirement ensures that the chosen site meets Zoomin Groomin's standards and aligns with their brand image.

Zoomin Groomin will typically approve or disapprove a proposed site within 14 days of receiving the necessary information from the franchisee. However, if the proposed site is within the franchisee's exclusive territory, the approval process has a slightly different timeline. In such cases, the site will be deemed approved if Zoomin Groomin does not provide an approval or disapproval within 30 days.

This site approval process is a common practice in franchising, allowing the franchisor to maintain consistency and protect brand reputation. For a prospective Zoomin Groomin franchisee, this means carefully researching potential office locations and submitting all required information promptly to the franchisor to avoid delays in the leasing process. It also highlights the importance of understanding the specific terms and conditions outlined in the Franchise Agreement regarding site selection and approval.
