What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Zoomin Groomin Franchise Disclosure Document, while an office is not required, if a franchisee chooses to establish one, they must obtain written approval from Zoomin Groomin before signing a lease for the location. Zoomin Groomin will typically approve or disapprove a proposed site within 14 days of receiving the required information. However, if the proposed site is within the franchisee's territory, it will be deemed approved if Zoomin Groomin does not respond within 30 days.
This requirement ensures that the franchisee selects a suitable location that aligns with Zoomin Groomin's brand standards and operational needs. By requiring approval, Zoomin Groomin maintains some control over the franchisee's physical presence, even though a physical office is not mandatory. This process helps protect brand image and consistency across all franchise locations.
For a prospective franchisee, this means they need to factor in the time required for site approval when planning their launch. They should submit all necessary information promptly to Zoomin Groomin and follow up to ensure a timely decision. If the site is within their territory, the franchisee can expect a decision within 30 days, providing a degree of certainty in their planning process. It is important to note that the FDD does not specify what information is required for site approval, so a prospective franchisee should clarify this with Zoomin Groomin.
