Answer from 2025 FDD Document

You will not receive an exclusive territory. You may face competition from other franchisees, from outlets that we own, or from other channels of distribution or competitive brands that we control. However, you will receive a protected territory, meaning a geographical area within which we promise not to establish a Zoomin Groomin company owned or franchised outlet. You may not accept orders from consumers to provide Services outside of your Territory, nor may you use other channels of distribution, such as the Internet, catalog sales, telemarketing, or other direct marketing, to make sales outside your Territory without our prior written approval as provided in Section 1.3 (C) of this Agreement.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Zoomin Groomin Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee's ability to operate a website for their franchised business is restricted by their designated territory. Specifically, franchisees are prohibited from using the Internet to make sales outside of their assigned territory without obtaining prior written approval from Zoomin Groomin. This policy ensures that franchisees do not encroach upon each other's territories through online sales.

This restriction means that while a Zoomin Groomin franchisee can potentially operate a website, they must ensure that it does not solicit or accept orders from customers outside their territory unless they have explicit written permission from Zoomin Groomin. This requirement is in place to protect the territorial rights granted to other franchisees and to maintain an orderly distribution system.

Should a franchisee operate outside their territory without permission, including through online sales, it could lead to termination of the franchise agreement. Additionally, any funds earned from unauthorized sales outside the designated territory may be redirected to the franchisee whose territory was encroached upon. Therefore, it is crucial for prospective Zoomin Groomin franchisees to understand and adhere to these territorial limitations and the need for prior approval before engaging in online sales activities that extend beyond their assigned area.
