What computer hardware specifications must a Zoomin Groomin franchisee comply with?

According to Zoomin Groomin's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must comply with the computer hardware, software, and POS specifications detailed in the Operations Manual. The hardware requirements include a desktop computer with a monitor, internet access, a printer/scanner, and an iPad or tablet with cellular capability. The software specifications are designated in the Zoomin Groomin Operations Manual. These items can be purchased for under $1,500.

Zoomin Groomin franchisees are responsible for maintaining their computer systems in good working order and must replace, update, or upgrade their hardware systems as required by the franchisor. The FDD states there are no contractual limitations regarding the frequency or costs of required upgrades or updates to the computer system. The estimated annual cost of optional or required maintenance, updating, upgrading, or support contracts for the computer systems is approximately $300.00.

Zoomin Groomin requires independent access to the information generated or stored in the franchisee's computer systems, including customer, transaction, and operational information. Franchisees must provide unrestricted and independent electronic access to their computer systems, information, and security camera systems at all times. Zoomin Groomin has the right to review business operations in person, by mail, or electronically, and to inspect operations and obtain paper and electronic business records related to the franchised business. If Zoomin Groomin requests a copy of any business records as part of a review, the franchisee must send these records at their expense within five business days of receiving the request.
