What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Zoomin Groomin's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, attending and successfully completing Initial Training is a requirement to operate a Zoomin Groomin franchise. Specifically, both the franchisee and any General Manager they employ must attend Initial Training at least one week before the franchise begins operations. The FDD states that the franchisee's successful completion of Initial Training to Zoomin Groomin's satisfaction is required to operate the franchise.

Initial Training is held in Virginia Beach, another designated training center, or online, at Zoomin Groomin's choosing, and typically lasts for three days. Zoomin Groomin does not charge tuition for Initial Training. The instructional material includes the Manual, lectures, demonstrations, discussions, practice and forms.

However, franchisees are responsible for covering their own travel, lodging, transportation, and meal costs, as well as the wages of any employees attending the training. The FDD advises that Zoomin Groomin will inform franchisees during or immediately after Initial Training whether they have successfully completed the course. Franchisees typically complete this Initial Training within 60 days of signing the Franchise Agreement and must complete Initial Training before opening the business.
