Does the Zoomin Groomin agreement allow for execution in counterparts, each considered an original?
Zoomin_Groomin Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
This Agreement may be executed by the parties in this Agreement in separate counterparts, each of which when so executed and delivered will be an original, but all such counterparts will together constitute but one and the same instrument. The Agreement may be signed and delivered electronically via email, facsimile or other means, which will each have the same legal effect as if signed in hardcopy with traditional ink.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Zoomin Groomin's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Franchise Agreement can be executed in separate counterparts. This means that each party can sign a separate copy of the agreement, and all signed copies together will constitute one and the same agreement. This is a common practice in franchising to expedite the signing process, especially when the parties are geographically separated.
Additionally, the Zoomin Groomin agreement allows for electronic signatures and delivery via email, facsimile, or other means. These electronic signatures have the same legal effect as a hardcopy signature with traditional ink. This further streamlines the execution process, allowing for quicker and more convenient agreement finalization.
For a prospective Zoomin Groomin franchisee, this means they do not need to be in the same physical location as the franchisor to sign the agreement. They can sign and deliver the agreement electronically, or sign separate copies and exchange them, which simplifies and speeds up the process of becoming a franchisee.
