What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Stretch Zone's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Stretch Zone will provide written approval of a lease when Stretch Zone, the franchisee, and the property owner all sign Stretch Zone's form of Agreement with Landlord, which is attached as Exhibit H to the FDD.
Prior to signing a lease, a prospective Stretch Zone franchisee must first select a proposed site for their franchise business and obtain written approval from Stretch Zone before signing the lease or beginning any construction. The franchisee must find a site in the Site Selection Area that meets Stretch Zone's criteria within 30 days of signing the Franchise Agreement. The franchisee must then send all material information regarding the proposed site, including pictures of the site, to Stretch Zone for approval. Stretch Zone will review site approval submissions on a first-in basis but within 30 days of the submission.
Stretch Zone also advises franchisees in their lease negotiations. The lease must stipulate that its effectiveness is conditional upon receiving written approval from Stretch Zone. However, the FDD specifies that Stretch Zone's approval or disapproval of a proposed lease does not impose any liability on Stretch Zone.
