What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Stretch Zone Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is prohibited from advertising outside of their Designated Market Area (DMA). This restriction ensures that franchisees focus their marketing efforts within their defined territory, preventing potential overlap or competition with other franchisees or company-owned units.
This limitation on advertising outside the DMA means a Stretch Zone franchisee must be strategic in their local marketing efforts. They need to concentrate on reaching potential customers within their specific geographic area through targeted campaigns and community engagement. This may involve local advertising, partnerships with nearby businesses, and participation in local events to build brand awareness and attract customers.
The FDD also states that franchisees will not solicit business from consumers outside their DMA, including through other channels of distribution, such as the Internet, catalog sales, telemarketing, or other direct marketing. This further reinforces the importance of adhering to the defined territory and focusing on local marketing strategies. Franchisees also do not have the right to use other channels of distribution to provide services to customers without Stretch Zone's prior written consent.
It is important for prospective Stretch Zone franchisees to understand the boundaries of their DMA and the restrictions on advertising outside of it. They should discuss with Stretch Zone the specific strategies and resources available to support their local marketing efforts and ensure compliance with the franchise agreement.
