What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Stretch Zone's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if Stretch Zone deems it advisable to modify or discontinue the use of any copyrighted work, franchisees must comply with this change. Stretch Zone's sole obligation in this event is to reimburse the franchisee for their tangible costs associated with complying with the modification or discontinuation. An example of such tangible costs would be the expense of changing materials.

This means that if Stretch Zone decides to update its Operations Manual, advertising materials, or any other copyrighted works, franchisees are required to implement those changes in their Stretch Zone businesses. However, Stretch Zone will only cover the direct, physical costs of making those changes, such as replacing printed materials or altering signage.

Prospective franchisees should be aware that this obligation does not extend to covering indirect costs or lost profits that may result from the modification or discontinuation. It is important for potential franchisees to factor in the possibility of these changes and the associated costs when evaluating the Stretch Zone franchise opportunity. Franchisees should inquire about the frequency and scope of past modifications to copyrighted materials to better understand the potential financial impact of future changes.
