What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Stretch Zone Franchise Disclosure Document, the criteria for alternate supplier approval are not available to franchisees. However, if a franchisee wants to use an unapproved supplier for items that are not proprietary to Stretch Zone or its affiliates, they must submit a written request for approval. The supplier can also submit the request themselves.
Stretch Zone has the right to inspect the supplier's facilities and request samples for testing. The franchisee is responsible for covering the costs of inspection and testing, which are estimated to range from $250 to $1,500. Stretch Zone may also require the supplier to provide evidence of adequate insurance, such as product liability insurance, to protect Stretch Zone and its franchisees from potential claims.
Stretch Zone will provide written notice of approval or disapproval within 10 days after testing and completion of all conditions. Stretch Zone also reserves the right to reinspect the facilities and products of any approved supplier and sample the products at the supplier's expense. Approval can be revoked if the supplier fails to continue meeting Stretch Zone's standards and specifications. Franchisees will receive written notification of approval or disapproval of a supplier within 7 days after Stretch Zone's investigation and inspection.
Stretch Zone also has developed specifications for a number of goods and services, which are available upon request and include minimum standards of quality, construction, economies of scale, name recognition, appearance, and function. These specifications may change based on Stretch Zone's experience, changes in the marketplace, or changes in law, and any changes will be communicated to franchisees through updates to the Operations Manual.
