L. § 680 et seq.), which describes the time period a Franchise Disclosure Document (offering prospectus) must be provided to a prospective franchisee before a sale may be made. What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Stretch Zone FDD, franchisees must adhere to standards and specifications that Stretch Zone implements on a 'Network-wide basis' when using the company's intellectual property. This indicates that the 'Network' refers to the collective group of Stretch Zone franchise locations and the franchisor itself, all operating under a consistent set of rules and guidelines to maintain brand uniformity and protect the company's intellectual property.

This requirement ensures that all Stretch Zone locations present a consistent brand image and service quality to customers. By mandating adherence to Network-wide standards, Stretch Zone aims to control how its trademarks, service marks, and other intellectual property are used, preventing misuse or misrepresentation that could harm the brand's reputation. This also allows Stretch Zone to implement changes or improvements across the entire system efficiently.

For a prospective franchisee, this means they must be prepared to follow Stretch Zone's established protocols for using intellectual property, including trademarks and marketing materials. While franchisees have the right to operate their individual businesses, they must do so within the framework that Stretch Zone sets to maintain a cohesive brand identity across the entire Network. This includes using the intellectual property solely for the operation of their franchise business at their designated location and refraining from using it in any way that could jeopardize the brand or create liability for the franchisor.
