According to Spray Net's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to specific standards and policies related to privacy laws. Franchisees are required to comply with all applicable laws concerning the privacy of customer, employee, and transactional information, collectively referred to as "Privacy Laws." Additionally, franchisees must follow Spray Net's own standards and policies on Privacy Laws. If there is a conflict between these standards and applicable law, the franchisee must comply with the law, notify Spray Net in writing, and cooperate to find a way to meet Spray Net's standards within the legal boundaries. Franchisees are prohibited from publishing, disseminating, implementing, revising, or rescinding any data privacy policy without obtaining Spray Net's prior written consent.
Spray Net also mandates that franchisees maintain a detailed list of all current and former clients, including their properties and any service contracts. This client information must be kept at the franchisee's premises and made available for Spray Net's inspection upon request. Upon termination or expiration of the franchise agreement, this information must be promptly returned to Spray Net. Spray Net may have automatic access to this information through the computer system and software required for the franchised business.
Furthermore, the franchisee is responsible for complying with the privacy policy of their City, State or Province and Country. It is the responsibility of the franchise owner to notify SPRAY-NET of specific conditions and laws related to third party privacy and confidentiality regulations regarding confidentiality and consumer data protection. All other legal contract requirements, terms and conditions must be updated by the franchise owner under the System Settings configurable to their local territory. Including and not limited to: Contract warranty terms and conditions, taxes, business license information, contact information and liability insurance details.
These requirements ensure that Spray Net maintains control over customer data and that franchisees operate in compliance with all relevant privacy laws. This protects both the franchisor and franchisee from potential legal issues related to data privacy and security. Prospective franchisees should carefully review Spray Net's specific privacy policies and standards, as detailed in the operations manual and other documents, to fully understand their obligations.
