What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Spray Net's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company can request franchisees to refurbish and upgrade their Approved Vehicles, equipment, and other business components no more than once every five years. These upgrades are at the franchisee's expense and must align with Spray Net's current standards for building design, trade dress, color schemes, and Proprietary Marks. This includes redecoration, remodeling, and modifications to existing improvements. However, updates to vehicle wraps, lettering, and trade dress may occur more frequently.
Spray Net requires franchisees to complete these changes within twelve months of receiving the request. However, Vehicle Updates must be completed within four months of the request. This means franchisees need to be prepared for potential capital expenditures every few years to keep their business aligned with the brand's current image and standards.
This requirement ensures that all Spray Net franchises maintain a consistent and up-to-date brand image, which is common in franchising. However, franchisees should factor in the potential costs of these periodic refurbishments and upgrades when assessing the financial viability of the franchise. It is important to note that these costs are the responsibility of the franchisee.
