What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Spray Net's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Brand Fund contribution is collected monthly. Item 6 outlines various fees, including the Brand Fund Contribution, which franchisees must pay. The amount of the contribution varies depending on the number of Designated Territories a franchisee purchases and the length of time the franchised business has been in operation.
For example, in the first year of operation with one set of designated territories, the annual Brand Fund contribution is $9,000, collected monthly. By the tenth year, this increases to $21,370 annually, still collected monthly. For a franchisee with a different number of designated territories, the first year contribution is $10,500, increasing to $24,310 by the seventh year. Another example shows a first-year contribution of $11,250, which rises to $37,039 by the tenth year.
These contributions are used by Spray Net for promoting, marketing, advertising, and generally developing the Spray Net system, proprietary marks, approved services, and brand. The fees are uniformly imposed, payable to Spray Net, and are non-refundable. Spray Net currently collects these fees via GoCardless, and franchisees must authorize Spray Net to collect all fees through their determined method. It's also important to note that these fees are subject to increase due to inflation as measured by the United States Consumer Price Index.
