Answer from 2025 FDD Document

    1. Remedial Training. Franchisor may require Franchisee to attend up to five (5) days of remedial training that Franchisor reasonably determines Franchisee and appropriate personnel must undertake in response to (a) the failure of Franchisee or any other required personnel to sufficiently complete the Initial Training Program or any type of Additional Training that Franchisor requires under Section 5(C)(1) above, or (b) Franchisee's failure to operate the Franchised Business in accordance with the terms of the Franchise Agreement after Franchisor has provided Franchisee with written notice of such failure (each, an instance of "Remedial Training").

Franchisor reserves the right to charge its then-current Additional Training Fee, plus lodging and travel, for any Remedial Training that is provided to Franchisee and/or its personnel at any location.

Franchisee must cover the costs and expenses incurred by Franchisor and its personnel in providing such Remedial Training if such training is provided at a location other than Franchisor's headquarters.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Spray Net's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Spray Net may require a franchisee to attend up to five days of remedial training. This training is required if the franchisee or their personnel do not sufficiently complete the initial training program or any additional training that Spray Net requires. Remedial training may also be required if the franchisee fails to operate the franchised business according to the terms of the Franchise Agreement after receiving written notice of the failure from Spray Net.

Spray Net reserves the right to charge its then-current Additional Training Fee, plus lodging and travel, for any remedial training provided to the franchisee or their personnel at any location. If the remedial training is provided at a location other than Spray Net's headquarters, the franchisee must cover the costs and expenses incurred by Spray Net and its personnel in providing the training.

This means that a Spray Net franchisee could face additional costs for training if their initial training is deemed insufficient or if they fail to adhere to the operational standards outlined in the franchise agreement. The franchisee is responsible for not only the training fee but also lodging and travel expenses, which could significantly increase the financial burden. It is important for prospective franchisees to understand the conditions under which remedial training may be required and to factor in the potential costs associated with such training.
