What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Spray Net's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement does not automatically grant franchisees the right or option to open additional franchised businesses. Each franchise agreement applies to a specific designated territory, and the franchisee's rights are generally limited to operating within that territory.

To open additional Spray Net locations, a franchisee must seek approval from the franchisor, and any such expansion would be governed by a separate franchise agreement. The franchisor retains sole discretion over whether to grant the franchisee the right to open additional locations. This means that even if a franchisee is successful, Spray Net is not obligated to allow them to expand.

Spray Net also reserves specific rights, including the right to operate or license others to operate Spray Net businesses outside the franchisee's designated territory. They can also operate businesses under different brands, even within the franchisee's territory, as long as those businesses do not primarily offer painting products and services. This reservation of rights gives Spray Net considerable flexibility in how it develops its brand and network, but it also means that franchisees may face competition from the franchisor or other franchisees in certain circumstances.
