What is the Spray Net franchisee's obligation regarding the maintenance and repair of the Computer System?

You must keep your Computer System in good maintenance and repair and install such additions, changes, modification, substitutions, and/or replacements to the Computer System as we direct from time to time in writing. While we do not require you to enter into any kind of support or maintenance contract in connection with any Required Software or other Computer System component, we estimate that you could expend between $500 and $1,500 annually on these kinds of contracts, as well as any updates or upgrades, associated with the current System components.
You must use our designated cloud-based business management software ("Business Management Software") on your Computer System, which you must currently license from us or our designated Approved Supplier.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Spray Net's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for maintaining and repairing their Computer Systems. Franchisees must keep their Computer Systems in good working order and install any additions, changes, modifications, substitutions, or replacements that Spray Net directs in writing. While Spray Net does not require franchisees to enter into a support or maintenance contract for required software or other Computer System components, they estimate franchisees could spend between $500 and $1,500 annually on these types of contracts, including updates or upgrades.
Spray Net may require franchisees to update, upgrade, or change their Computer Systems and software at their own expense to conform to new standards or specifications. As technology improves, franchisees will be required to upgrade their Computer Systems or purchase new ones. There is no contractual limit on the frequency or cost of this obligation. Spray Net may revise its specifications at any time at its discretion.
Spray Net does not provide technical support for the franchisee's Computer System or software. Franchisees are solely responsible for protecting themselves from viruses, computer hackers, and other communications and computer-related problems, and they cannot sue Spray Net for any harm caused by such issues. This is a fairly standard arrangement in franchising, where the franchisee typically bears the responsibility for their own IT infrastructure and security.
