What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Spray Net's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally required to participate in advertising programs that Spray Net establishes. These programs are considered an integral part of the Spray Net system. However, this participation is subject to applicable laws and provided that these activities do not contravene regulations and laws of appropriate governmental authorities.
Spray Net requires that all advertising and promotion used by franchisees must be approved by them and conform to their standards. Spray Net may make promotional materials available to franchisees at the franchisee's expense. These materials can include digital content, social media templates, merchandising materials, point-of-purchase materials, and special promotions.
If a Spray Net franchisee wants to use advertising or promotional materials not already approved, they must submit them to Spray Net for written approval at least 20 days before publication. Spray Net will then use commercially reasonable efforts to notify the franchisee of their approval or disapproval within 15 days. If no written approval is received within that time, the materials are considered disapproved. Once approved, the franchisee can use the materials for 90 days, unless Spray Net specifies a different time period or requires the franchisee to discontinue using the materials in writing. Spray Net can also require a franchisee to stop using any advertising or marketing material at any time, even if previously approved.
Spray Net also mandates a Local Advertising Requirement, where franchisees must spend a certain minimum amount on advertising and promoting their franchise within their designated territory, based on the number of territories they purchased and how long their business has been operating. At least 75% of the Local Advertising Requirement must be spent on monthly digital marketing services, paid to Spray Net on the first of each month. Spray Net may provide these digital marketing services or engage a supplier to do so.
