What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Spray Net's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, upon the expiration or termination of the Franchise Agreement, a franchisee must immediately return all electronic and hard copies of the Spray Net Manuals. Furthermore, the franchisee is prohibited from using these manuals for any competitive purpose after the agreement ends. This obligation survives the term of the Franchise Agreement.

This provision ensures that departing franchisees do not leverage Spray Net's confidential operational knowledge to compete against the franchise system. The immediate return of the manuals and the prohibition against their competitive use are designed to protect Spray Net's proprietary information and maintain a fair competitive environment.

For a prospective Spray Net franchisee, this means that upon exiting the franchise system, they cannot start a competing business using the knowledge gained from the Spray Net manuals. Failure to comply with this requirement could result in legal action from Spray Net to protect its trade secrets and business methods.
