What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Spray Net's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must cease using methods associated with the Spray Net system upon termination of the franchise agreement. Specifically, the franchisee is obligated to return all electronic or hard copies of the Manuals immediately upon the expiration or termination of the agreement, and these materials must never be used for any competitive purpose. This obligation survives the term of the agreement, meaning it remains in effect even after the franchise relationship ends.

This requirement is typical in franchising, as franchisors need to protect their proprietary systems and methods. By preventing former franchisees from using the Spray Net manuals and methods, Spray Net aims to maintain a competitive advantage and ensure brand consistency among its current franchisees.

For a prospective Spray Net franchisee, this means that upon termination or expiration of the franchise agreement, they cannot continue to operate a similar business using the knowledge and materials gained during their time as a franchisee. This includes any updates or modifications to the manuals provided through the Spray-Net Web Portal. It is crucial to understand these post-termination obligations before entering into a franchise agreement with Spray Net, as failure to comply could result in legal action by the franchisor.
