What is a 'Designated Territory' for a Spray Net franchise?

Spray_Net Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Under your Franchise Agreement, you will be awarded a geographical area where you will be authorized and required to (a) actively promote, market and advertise your Franchised Business, and (b) offer and provide the Approved Services and Approved Products (your "Designated Territory").

We also offer, to qualified franchisees, the opportunity to develop multiple Designated Territories under the same Franchised Agreement. You will not sign a Multi-Unit Development Agreement or Area Development Agreement for the operation of a Spray-Net Franchised Business because you will only be operating a Spray-Net Franchised Business across multiple territories. To be eligible to develop multiple Designated Territories, you must agree to open between a minimum of 2 Designated Territories and a maximum of 3 Designated Territories.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Spray Net's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a 'Designated Territory' is a specific geographical area awarded to a franchisee. Within this territory, the franchisee is authorized and required to actively promote, market, and advertise their Spray Net franchised business. They are also responsible for offering and providing approved services and products within this designated area.

Spray Net also offers qualified franchisees the opportunity to develop multiple Designated Territories under a single Franchise Agreement. Unlike some franchise systems that use Multi-Unit Development Agreements or Area Development Agreements, Spray Net does not use these, as franchisees will simply operate across multiple territories under one agreement. To be eligible for multiple territories, a franchisee must commit to opening a minimum of two and a maximum of three Designated Territories.

This territorial structure means that Spray Net franchisees have a defined area of operation, potentially reducing direct competition from other Spray Net franchisees. The option to expand into multiple territories provides an avenue for growth, but it also requires a larger initial commitment and the ability to manage a broader operation. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider the size and demographics of the Designated Territory, as well as the potential for expansion, when evaluating the Spray Net franchise opportunity.
