What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Spray Net's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, while the franchisor offers advice and consultation without separate charges, franchisees are responsible for any charges that may apply when seeking additional assistance or resources via telephone or email. Specifically, Spray Net makes a representative available via phone or email during normal business hours to discuss the Franchised Business and marketing strategy or advice. However, the franchisee is responsible for any applicable charges for such additional assistance and/or resources.
This means that while basic support is included, more in-depth or extensive help could incur extra costs for the Spray Net franchisee. It is a common practice in franchising to provide a base level of support, but to charge for specialized or additional assistance. This allows the franchisor to manage costs and allocate resources effectively, while also ensuring that franchisees who require more support contribute to those expenses.
Prospective Spray Net franchisees should clarify what constitutes 'additional assistance' and what types of charges they might expect. Understanding the scope of included support versus potentially billable services is crucial for budgeting and managing operational costs. It would be prudent to inquire about the typical scenarios that lead to additional charges and to request a schedule of fees for these services to avoid unexpected expenses.
