Communications Equipment; Telephone Lines.
The Franchisee will, at its sole expense, obtain and maintain the dedicated telephone lines, high speed Internet connections, and other communication and transmission equipment and systems for the Franchisee's Southern Steer Business as are specified in the Brand Manual or otherwise in writing.
The Franchisee will install and maintain telephone answering systems and other telephonic devices at the Southern Steer Business and will operate all communication and transmission systems and devices as specified by the Franchisor in the Brand Manual or otherwise in writing.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Southern Steer Franchise Disclosure Document, the specific communication and transmission equipment and systems needed for a Southern Steer business are determined and specified by Southern Steer. These specifications are detailed in the Brand Manual or provided in writing to the franchisee.
As a franchisee, you are responsible for obtaining and maintaining the required dedicated telephone lines, high-speed internet connections, and other necessary communication equipment at your own expense. Additionally, you must install and maintain telephone answering systems and other telephonic devices as directed by Southern Steer.
Furthermore, Southern Steer also sets the standards, specifications, and requirements for computer hardware, software, point-of-sale systems, cash registers, credit card processing, online ordering, loyalty scanners, and related systems. Franchisees must ensure their systems meet these standards and are configured to provide Southern Steer with direct electronic access to data and financial information. This includes gross revenues, direct labor costs, and food costs. Franchisees are also responsible for updating and upgrading these systems as required by Southern Steer, at their own expense.
