What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Southern Steer's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee and their owners waive their rights to sue for damages or other relief. This waiver covers all known and unknown claims against Southern Steer, its affiliates, and their personnel. The claims must arise from the adequacy or accuracy of information provided or activities occurring during any initial training program, additional training, Periodic Conferences and Seminars, Brand Conference, and/or opening assistance, collectively referred to as "Training."
This release also covers any harm or injury suffered by an attendee or participant during and as a result of their attendance at or participation in the Training. Furthermore, the franchisee and owners agree to hold Southern Steer, its affiliates, and their personnel harmless for any claims or damages incurred by the franchisee, the owners, or their affiliates arising out of, connected with, or resulting from attendance at or participation in the Training.
To attend and participate in the Training, the franchisee, the owners, and all persons attending on behalf of the franchisee must sign documentation required by Southern Steer or its affiliates. This documentation is a condition for attendance, participation, and successful completion of the Training. This means a franchisee gives up rights to sue for issues stemming from training and agrees to cover Southern Steer's losses if someone makes a claim related to the training.
