What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Southern Steer Franchise Disclosure Document, before an individual can attend any training or access confidential information, several steps must be taken. Each owner, beneficial owner, and their spouses must sign a personal guarantee, which is attached to the Franchise Agreement as Attachment C. This guarantee ensures they agree to fulfill certain obligations of the franchisee.
Additionally, the franchisee, their Designated Manager, Operating Principal, and all officers, owners, directors, employees, and immediate family members who become aware of Southern Steer's Confidential Information and Trade Secrets must sign a Non-Competition and Non-Disclosure Agreement. This agreement is included as Attachments J-1 and J-2 to the Franchise Agreement.
These measures are in place to protect Southern Steer's interests by ensuring that all individuals involved in the franchise are legally bound to maintain confidentiality and uphold the obligations outlined in the Franchise Agreement. This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, as franchisors need to protect their brand and trade secrets.
