What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Southern Steer's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee (or their Operating Principal) and the Designated Manager are required to attend the initial training program. This two-week program is held at Southern Steer's headquarters or another location they designate. The franchisee is responsible for covering all travel and living expenses for those attending the training.

The FDD estimates these travel and living expenses to be between $4,000 and $7,000. The low estimate assumes attendees live near the training site and do not require lodging, while the high estimate accounts for air travel, a rental car, and a mid-range hotel for two people. These estimates do not include any salary or wages that the franchisee may choose to pay their trainees for their time.

Southern Steer allows up to two people to attend the initial training program without incurring any additional training fees. This provides flexibility for the franchisee to involve key personnel in the comprehensive training process. After satisfactorily completing the Initial Training Program, the franchisee will be invoiced for the On-Site Assistance Fee.
