What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Southern Steer Franchise Disclosure Document, Southern Steer does provide on-site assistance as a continuing service after the franchisee's Required Opening Date. Specifically, the FDD mentions that the continuing services provided by Southern Steer will include providing on-site assistance as described in Section 10.4 of the document.
However, Section 10.4 clarifies that the on-site assistance described is actually "On-Site Opening Assistance." This assistance, in accordance with the Brand Manual, is provided for a period of up to 10 days to assist the franchisee with implementing the System at the Southern Steer Business. This assistance generally takes place prior to and during the Franchisee's grand opening.
In addition to the initial on-site opening assistance, Southern Steer may provide additional training and guidance, though they are not required to do so. If the franchisee requests a consultant to assist with management and operations issues, the franchisee will be required to pay an additional training fee. Southern Steer may also periodically visit and review the franchisee's Southern Steer Business, but again, this is not a requirement.
