What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Southern Steer's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Southern Steer provides its Initial Training Program to the franchisee or its Operating Principal and its Designated Manager. The Initial Training Program is designed to educate, familiarize, and acquaint these individuals with the Southern Steer system and business operations.

The Initial Training Program takes place prior to the franchisee's Required Opening Date and lasts up to two weeks, as determined by Southern Steer. The franchisee or their Operating Principal and Designated Manager must satisfactorily complete this training no later than 30 days before the scheduled Required Opening Date. The training typically occurs at Southern Steer's headquarters or another designated location.

If a new Operating Principal or Designated Manager is appointed or hired after the Southern Steer business opens, they must attend the Initial Training Program within 45 days of their appointment or hiring. The franchisee is responsible for paying the current training fee for these replacement personnel. Southern Steer may also require the franchisee, their management staff, and other employees to attend additional training at the franchisee's expense if the business does not meet certain performance standards or if Southern Steer deems it necessary.
