What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Southern Steer Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for the costs associated with the Computers and Software. This includes leasing, licensing, or purchasing the computer hardware, software, and related systems that meet Southern Steer's standards. These systems encompass point-of-sale, cash register, credit card processing, online ordering, and loyalty scanners.
The franchisee must also configure their Computers and Software to allow Southern Steer direct electronic access to their data, financial information, and other required information, such as Gross Revenues, direct labor costs, and food costs. This ensures that Southern Steer can monitor the franchisee's performance and maintain system-wide standards.
Furthermore, the franchisee is solely responsible for the expense of modifying, enhancing, updating, and upgrading the Computers and Software as directed by Southern Steer. This includes executing any necessary documents or agreements. These modifications ensure that the franchisee's systems remain compliant with Southern Steer's current standards and specifications, as outlined in the Brand Manual or in writing.
