What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Southern Steer Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees do have the right to accept and fulfill electronically-submitted orders for foods, beverages, and products, provided these are offered at the franchised location. However, franchisees are restricted from selling these items through other online channels, such as the Internet, catalogs, or mail order, unless specifically authorized in writing by Southern Steer. This policy ensures that while franchisees can cater to customers who order online for pickup or local delivery from their physical store, they cannot operate a broader online retail business without explicit permission.

Southern Steer also maintains control over the brand's online presence. Franchisees cannot establish their own websites, mobile apps, or social media to promote their Southern Steer business without prior written approval from the franchisor. Southern Steer reserves the sole right to promote products online and manage the brand's website and mobile applications. This centralized approach allows Southern Steer to maintain a consistent brand image and customer experience across all digital platforms.

Southern Steer may introduce an Online Ordering/Delivery System, requiring franchisees to participate and adhere to the guidelines set forth in the Brand Manual. However, Southern Steer is not obligated to implement such a system and retains the right to modify or discontinue it. This system is intended to enhance customer service, but franchisees must stay informed about any changes or requirements related to its use. This ensures that Southern Steer can adapt to changing market conditions and customer preferences while maintaining brand standards and operational efficiency.
