What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Southern Steer Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not allowed to post advertisements on the Internet without prior approval from Southern Steer. Specifically, franchisees must get consent before advertising or using any of Southern Steer's trademarks online.
The FDD states that any advertising on the Internet must be pre-approved by Southern Steer and adhere to their specified terms. Furthermore, franchisees cannot use Southern Steer's trademarks (or similar marks) as an Internet domain name, user or account name, or in the content of any website or social media platform. This includes platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, or Twitter.
If a franchisee registers any social media account containing Southern Steer's trademarks, even with or without consent, they must promptly notify Southern Steer and provide all necessary information about the account. The social media account will then become the property of Southern Steer. This level of control ensures brand consistency and protects Southern Steer's online presence.
