Can a Southern Steer franchisee establish their own website to promote their Southern Steer Business without approval?

According to Southern Steer's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not allowed to establish a website, mobile application, blog, or any other social media presence on the internet to promote their Southern Steer business without obtaining prior written approval from Southern Steer. Southern Steer retains the sole right to promote the Foods, Beverages, and Products offered by the Franchisee's Southern Steer Business on the Internet or via a mobile application. They also have the right to create a website and/or mobile application containing the "Southern Steer Butcher" name and the Marks, or any derivative or related domain name.

Southern Steer also maintains a website to advertise and promote Southern Steer businesses, including the franchisee's. Southern Steer has the right to modify, enhance, suspend, or discontinue the Southern Steer website at any time, at its sole discretion.

This policy ensures brand consistency and quality control across all online platforms associated with Southern Steer. A prospective franchisee should discuss with Southern Steer what the requirements are for getting approval to establish a website, mobile application, blog, or any other social media presence on the internet.
