What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Southern Steer's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program is up to two weeks. The first week of training includes topics such as culture and Southern Steer business story, product descriptions and knowledge, POS functions, manager food handler certification, guest service, meat cutting, prep/recipes, and daily operation systems. During this first week, franchisees can expect between 3 to 5 hours of classroom training.
In addition to classroom training, Southern Steer franchisees will also participate in on-the-job training. During the first week, franchisees should expect to spend 40 to 42 hours in on-the-job training. The training will take place in Clearwater, Florida, or another location that Southern Steer designates.
Southern Steer notes that the exact number and distribution of hours of classroom training may vary, so the actual hours may differ. Franchisees should also note that they will be responsible for travel, living expenses, and wages incurred while attending the initial training program.
